It’s amazing how certain games can become addicting (or not depending on the theme), I am one of those who got caught up with it, so I had to write about it. Today’s post is about a game called Restaurant city, with its name and the video I put in the beginning, you can pretty much guess what it’s about and how to play it. I joined this game because of a friend of mine, who loves to play cute and adorable time wasting games such as myself and really grew a liking to this one. The rules to it are pretty simple as you’ve seen, as are pretty much any facebook game by playfish.
Since you can decorate your restaurant however way you want, you can keep yourself pretty occupied and distract yourself with it, the only (big) problem I find with this game and other ones by playfish, is that the truly cool things you want to get actually cost money. If you don’t mind spending money in this kind of game then be my guest, but I for one admittedly am quite tight fisted with these sort of things. Let’s take a look why and have an example, the sushi bar.
You work hard to level up the one dish that’s going to give you it, but once you get to the necessary level, an empty bar appears only containing that one dish you levelled up. In the beginning I didn’t mind, I tried to level up the other dishes but did not manage to complete the set because another event came up and the seaweed ingredient was not available any more.
This also happened with the Lounge bar (which only now I’m completing due to another event that brought the ingredients back) and lastly the coffee bar. I convinced my boyfriend to play the game not necessarily because it was the fun-est game ever, as I mentioned – it’s only cute and is a time waster. He plays a greater variety of (better) games and I asked him to join this one only to send the ingredients I needed, no strings attached. Once the coffee bar event came, he actually got interested, as he’s quite the coffee addict. But the same thing that happened with the sushi bar took place and unmotivated him, he explained that people should be better rewarded for their efforts. The only way to get the missing ingredients is to again, pay. Today, because of what he mentioned, I don’t think its worth spending money and even time on as there are way better games out there to play, such as Minecraft (which has made me quit this game)!
On the other hand it’s because of people such as this girl that makes this game enjoyable. So for those of you who wish to play it, just for a quick relax and friend bonding time (which I believe is more of its purpose) and share the same interest, have a click on the restaurant city page here. Along with that, here’s something that might be useful – the answers to the daily food quiz!
I now leave you with a picture of how my restaurant looks like at the moment:
